Our Gloucester Old Spot Pork

This old rare breed produces meat that isn’t a bit like supermarket pork. It’s moist and sumptuous and you get proper crackling. Our pigs are reared outdoors where they can dig freely and graze on grass. We feed them locally grown wheat, barley, peas and swedes, and apples from our cider orchard.
We oak smoke and dry cure our Bacon, Ham and Gammon in the traditional way, so it doesn't shrink in the pan. Joints can be any size from
1kg for 2 people, up to about 5kg for a whole leg, or 8kg for a whole rolled rib joint. I am often asked for pork recipes and will be happy to send you some if you email me.

SAUSAGES
Normally packed in 500gm trays of six, but orders happily taken for bulk quantities at a discount.

LOIN STEAKS

Quick and very easy to cook. Grill, fry or barbecue it. For something a bit different, try covering it in dry stuffing before cooking.

Good firm Roasting Joint. Delicious with shallots and roasted vegetables.

BONELESS LOIN CHOPS

Quick and easy to grill, barbecue or curry.

BONED & ROLLED LEG

TENDERLOIN

Tenderloin can be cooked whole or in slices. Grill like fillet steak or stir fry. Very tender.

BELLY PORK

You can roast a whole piece of Belly Pork or slice it and fry it in strips or marinate it in a sauce for the barbecue.

GAMMON STEAKS

£9.75

Gammon is made by dry curing a pork leg and the steaks are excellent for frying or grilling.

GAMMON JOINTS

£9.50

Can be boiled, roasted or baked. Delicious when roasted with a honey and clove glaze.

ROLLED LOIN JOINT

£9.20

This comes from the back of the pig and makes a wonderful roasting joint with crispy crackling. Very good with cider gravy.
 

HAM JOINTS

£12.50

Ham is made by cooking gammon, which is made by dry curing a leg joint. A whole ham joint makes a fantastic family dinner, and is delicious both hot and cold in sandwiches.
 

LOIN FILLET

£9.50

Very tender and can be cooked whole, stuffed with apricots or prunes, or in pieces in a pork and apple casserole.

MIDDLE BACON

£9.95

Dry cured the old fashioned way, this chunky bacon doesn’t shrink in the pan.

COLLAR BACON

A big, dry-cured, breakfast rasher.

CHIPOLATAS & COCKTAIL SAUSAGES
